“Since I can remember, I wanted to be an astronaut. This passion led me to a career as an aerospace engineer. While working at NASA, I learned that earning an M.D. would help me to attain my dream of becoming an astronaut. As I proceeded through medical school and rotated in orthopedics, I realized my true passion. I enjoyed taking care of patients and working with an amazing biomechanical machine, the human body. After completing my residency in orthopedic surgery, I never looked back and continued on to a fellowship in orthopedic sports medicine.”
